Since I was young, I have been collecting things and arranging them in a way that was compelling to me. I approach my paintings, drawings and collages in this manner - a collection of marks, colors and shapes.
I create by looking, remembering, and merging these images with my imagination. The process of finding surprises in my paintings is very important to me.
I have recently become interested in painting snapshots from my memory. The idea that memories fade over time, and one loses specifics has driven these paintings.
